I tasted the Cairossa 2008 a few days ago and found it very good indeed, in fact one of the best wines I have had recently; Fine deep carmine-ruby, still young and not too extracted; really lovely fragrant nose dominated by Cabernet Franc’s ripeness and exuberance yet still restrained expression that it shows in Tuscany, really good deep berry fruit flavours on the palate, already smooth but natural tannins and lifted acidity are there to keep it. A beautiful wine of great class, great vineyard and great winemaking. 2013-20. 18/20. Steven Spurrier (16/11/2012) |
